EEEWA
The Electrical and Electronic Engineers of Western Australia (EEEWA) is a dynamic and multi-faceted society born out of a group of passionate students at UWA.

EEEWA aims to promote student development and cultivate a community for electrical and electronic engineering.
Our activities extend to university students, high schools and industry by virtue of our four core club objectives.
OUR CORE OBJECTIVES
Develop and upskill undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate electrical engineering students in a growing WA industry.
Provide a platform for university students to gain access to, and build relationships within the engineering industry.
Create a society to foster and encourage meaningful relationships within the electrical and electronic engineering cohort.
Outreach to the wider community, spark interest and encourage upcoming students to pursue a career in electrical and electronics
OUR EVENTS.
EEEWA's mission is achieved through a diverse, innovative set of industry, educational and social events.

From our niche electrical and software workshops to engaging multiple industry bodies and student societies at professional networking events, EEEWA has had a track record of success in providing a multi-faceted, engaging experience for students at UWA.

TECH V ELEC
EEEWA's annual quiz night in Semester 2 where students are provided the opportunity to team up with industry representatives for a friendly competition on technology and electronic knowledge.
Featuring additional networking sessions with food and drink, students are able to have a more casual interaction with professionals.

WORKSHOPS
EEEWA facilitates regular workshops that teach university students practical and technical skills relevant to the electrical and electronic field.
These include, but are not limited to, Arduino, breadboarding, soldering and oscilloscope workshops.
INDUSTRY TALKS
This event is an opportunity for companies to present to students company-specific technology to pique their interest in current projects.
Featuring networking intermissions, students are able to closely interact with professionals on the topic of discussion.

HACKATHON
Students collaborate in small teams to determine solutions to an electrical and electronic engineering problem proposed by a company.
This event allows students to gain practical experience while presenting an opportunity for them to showcase their skills to potential employers.
NETWORKING EVENTS
The club hosts networking events that help bridge a connection between students and professionals in the engineering industry.
This also provides an opportunity for students to receive guidance for the transition into the workplace environment from professionals.

THE FUTURE OF ...' SERIES
Industry representatives share their technical knowledge and insight on the growing electrical and electronic industry.
Through company presentations and networking intermissions, students are given an opportunity to learn about the future direction of the industry while building their connections with professionals.
Past examples include The Future of Communications, Controls, and Power Engineering
